Alicante is the
capital of the Costa Blanca and is popular in both summer and winter.
Many consider it the best all-round city in Spain, and although
it has a very modern feel, its history goes back almost 3,000 years.
The 14th century castle overlooks the city and the recently enlarged
marina and port. Apart from being a shopper's paradise, the city

Santa Pola is on the southern-most stretch of the province of Alicante, lying on a calm bay just 8kms from the airport.
